AI can make mistakes
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Quran Chat uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate some of its answers and content. AI is useful, but it is not always right. This page explains why, how to use Quran Chat safely, and what to do when something looks wrong.
Why AI answers can be wrong
- AI writes the answer it predicts is most likely, one piece at a time. Usually that is accurate, but sometimes it produces statements that sound confident and convincing and are simply false. It can invent facts, names, numbers, quotations or references.
- Its knowledge has limits. It learned from information up to a certain date and may not know about recent events or changes.
- It can misunderstand a question, miss important context, or confuse things that look alike.
- When it summarizes a source, it can leave out details that matter or draw the wrong conclusion from it.
How to use Quran Chat safely
- Check anything important against a reliable source before you rely on it, act on it or share it.
- When Quran Chat shows sources or references, open them and read the original.
- Treat an answer as a starting point, not the final word.
Not professional advice
Answers from Quran Chat are general information. They are not medical, legal, financial, tax or any other professional advice, and they do not replace a qualified professional who knows your situation.
For matters of faith and practice, Quran Chat's answers are not religious rulings (fatwas). Verify any verse, hadith or ruling against an authentic source, and consult a qualified scholar before acting on it.
